Kaltenboeck Brewery - a small brewery at Lake Atter
Brewed with GRANDER and refined to a first-class beer
- A reference in the field of Lebensmittelherstellung Österreich
Out of enthusiasm for refinement of the brewing initial production, the Brewery Kaltenboeck has made its mark as an excellent brewery. Origin, tradition and the way of life combine to create the ultimate enjoyment.
GRANDER water plays a significant role in the production.
The Mostschenke to Hoangarten is housed in a 300-year-old farmhouse. The farm is located in Palm Village, near the village Attersee, tucked away behind the Mayr stables, surrounded by orchards. Located close to the Roman's bike path it is visited both by locals as well as travelers of the Attergau. In summer, guests can relax in the secluded garden with mature trees, which offers views of the mountains and Lake Atter and, of course, can taste the farm's products. On cooler evenings, the fireplace in the living room exudes cosy warmth.
Farm owner, Eckhard Kaltenboeck, believes in Grander year after year, especially when he makes the farm's own schnapps. "The schnapps is diluted to 45% with revitalized tap water. Despite the high lime content of 19 ° dH, the liquor is no longer turbid as it previously was, but remains clear." Lime is a valuable flavor element, and therefore it is good that it remains in the water. Kaltenboeck's revitalized fruit schnapps and plum variety are distinguished by a particularly fine flavor.
His son, Volkher, who received his brewer diploma at the renowned University of brewing in Weihenstephan (Bavaria), now operates a small brewery in the house too. He has received several gold medals for his "Hoangartenbier" and the "Kramperlbock". The secret to the success of his products is due to revitalized water by Johann Grander, which he proudly reveals.
