The grandfather of today's company owners, Mario Wiesner, founded the cheese manufacturing company in Gireskirchen/Schluesslberg, Austria. Traditional values such as trust, responsibility and handshake quality are still valid and actively practised in this company today.
Mario Wiesner also is breaking new ground: skilled know-how is further developed with innovation spirit, a business sense and personal dedication. Thus, modern, new recipes and current trands are followed and implemented.
The cooked cheese only requires four ingredients: low-fat curd cheese, special salt, pepper and caraway. The secret to the special taste lies in the first-class, non-genetically modified fresh milk from Upper Austria and the special maturation of the low-fat curd cheese.
Twelve kinds are on offer at the cheese dairy currently, which vary in their fat content, taste and composition. Wiesner's "Original Abkochter" having only 5% fat is by far the most popular and comprises approx. 70% of the entire production. The bio-cooked cheese was developed last year, but has already been well received.
By the way: All the raw materials are purchased from the region, so that the CO2 pollution is reduced thanks to shorter transport routes. In addition, all the cheese specialties are produced without adding conservatives and flavour enhancers.
